วันนี้ได้เรียนภาษาอังกฤษกับอาจารย์เดวิด วันนี้อาจารย์ได้แบ่งงานให้ไปศึกษาแล้วออกมานำเสนอในคาบหน้า ซึ่งเป็นเรื่องเกี่ยวกับการใช้ไวยากรณ์ ซึ่งอาจารย์ได้แบ่งเป็นกลุ่มให้ไปศึกษา และก็ได้ไปศึกษาเรื่อง migth/ maybe ได้เรียนรู้และทำความเข้าใจเพื่อที่จะไปนำเสนอต่ออาจารย์และเพื่อน๐ในห้องเรียน
might แปลว่า "อาจจะ" มีความหมายไม่แน่นอน เช่น It might get there by Friday. มันอาจจะไปถึงภายในวันศุกร์ก็ได้นะ คืออาจจะถึงหรือไม่ถึงก็ได้ ไม่มีความแน่นอน It might be good, you'll never know. "มันอาจจะดีก็ได้นะ ไม่มีทางที่คุณจะล่วงรู้ได้หรอก"
maybe เป็นคำกริยาช่วย มีความหมายว่าที่ไม่แน่นอนแปลว่า "บางที" หรือ "อาจจะเป็นไปได้" เช่น Maybe I will go out tonight. "บางทีฉันจะออกไปเที่ยวคืนนี้" คือยังไม่แน่นอนว่าจะไปหรือไม่ อาจจะไปหรือไม่ไปก็เป็นไปได้ทั้งสองอย่าง
may be เป็นคำกริยามีความหมายว่า "อาจจะเป็นไปได้" I may be going out tonight. แปลว่า "อาจจะเป็นไปได้นะ ว่าฉันจะออกไปเที่ยวในคืนนี้"
เวลาที่ผมใช้ may จะใช้ในลักษณะที่ยังไม่แน่ใจ
เช่น I may join you for the meeting.
ถ้าอยากให้เกิดความรู้สึกสุภาพก็จะใช้ might
เช่น I might be at the meeting.
สำหรับ maybe ไม่ค่อยเห็นครับ
may be สร้างความรู้สึกคาดหวัง
เช่น I may be at the meeting.
Might (POSSIBILITY)
auxiliary verb [+ infinitive without to]
used to express the possibility that something will happen or be done, or is true, although not very likely
I might come and visit you in America next year, if I can save enough money.
Don't go any closer - it might be dangerous/it mightn't be safe.
He's very fast and in this race he might even finish in the top three.
Ask your father - he might just have $10 (=there is a slight possibility that he has $10).
Driving so fast, he might have had a nasty accident (=it could have happened but it did not).
Don't blame him - it might have been (=there is a possibility that it was) an accident.
The rain might have stopped (=it is possible that it has stopped) by now.
ESPECIALLY HUMOROUS OR DISAPPROVING And who might you be (=Who are you)?
May / Might + infinitive (possibility)

Example:
- We might have a picnic tomorrow, but it depends on the weather.
- I might not go to the party, I haven't decided yet.
- I may go to the party, but I'm not sure.
- I may not have time to do everything today.

* Use might / may and might not / may not+infinitive to talk about a future possibility.
(It might /may rain. = it's possible that it will rain.)
* Might /May (not) is the same for all person, I might /may,
he might / may, we might/may etc.

!!! You can also use May I..../ May we ...to ask for permission.
example: May i use your phone? (= can i use your phone.)

โดยทั่วไปแล้ว "might" ที่เราใช้ ๆ กัน ก็คงจะหมายถึง "อาจจะ"

วันนี้ มาดูรูปแบบ การใช้ might ในแบบต่าง ๆ กัน
1. ใช้ might กับ Present Simple : เป็นการบอกถึงเหตุการณ์ที่เป็นไปได้ในอนาคต

I might go there tomorrow.
They might win this match.

2. ใช้ might กับ Present Continuous : เป็นการบอกถึงเหตุการณ์คาดว่าเป็นอยู่ในปัจจุบัน

He might be thinking about his job.
She might be falling in love.

ในรูปแบบนี้จะไม่มีการใช้ verb to be , verb to have หรือ verb จำพวก แสดงว่าความรู้สึก เช่น want, like, know , need, forget ...

His child might be being a university student.
She might be having a headache.

3. ใช้ might + have + V3 : เป็นการกล่าวถึงเหตุการณ์ที่น่าจะเป็นไปได้ในอดีต

maybe จะต้องตามหลังด้วยคำนาม (noun) เสมอ
